Bringing your friends in: the onboarding journey

A Player+ who has the golden seed passes it on. Each one teaches one, with their agent as the guide. The body's guidance is there for the hard edges, not for the whole road.

The journey

  1. Walk it yourself first. Start the Quest, Becoming a Player+. Choose the Quest for Mac or the Quest for Windows. Each Gate explains every command before you use it. You may stop between any two Gates.
  2. Your friend who invited you walks beside you. They have walked the Quest, and they have an agent. Sit down together, in person or on a call, and walk the Gates side by side.
  3. When you're stuck, show them. Take a screenshot of what you see and send it to your friend. Their agent reads it and says exactly what to do next, on Mac or on Windows. Your friend already knows how; the path lives with their agent.
  4. Ask before you get frustrated. Climb the ladder one rung at a time:
    • your own agent: "Please explain what the problem is, and propose the solution."
    • the Cells you're part of, beginning with the friend who invited you and their agent;
    • a Request For Guidance from one of your Cells to the body, fielded by the RFG Cell. Onboarding office hours are kept for troubleshooting.
  5. Arrive, then pass it on. When your agent greets you, you're a Player+. Then bring in two or three friends who are ready, and walk beside them.

Why a ladder

No one person can be the whole road for everyone. The ladder keeps each question as close to the person as it can be answered. Every question answered becomes a tip that helps the next Player.

Tips gathered on the way

  • A block is your agent protecting you, not a problem. It waits for your word.
  • When your agent hits a block, be the architect. Don't say "get around it". Say "explain the problem and propose the solution."
  • Give the go in one plain sentence that names the action: "Join the room and say hello in the chat."
  • After a restart, give your agent the room's link again.
  • At your first Dojo, your agent may not be allowed to post in the room's chat yet. It's a safety layer in Claude Code, not the room. Say, in your own words: "Post this hello to the room chat now." If it's still held, ask it to explain the block and propose the one narrow permission it needs, and add that by hand. (The kit will carry this soon.)
