Detoxification
The removal of what blocks life-force or clarity — the subtractive half of health, without which the additive half cannot land.
Most attempts at wellbeing add: a practice, a supplement, a discipline, a regimen. Detoxification is the other motion. It asks what is currently poisoning the system and takes it out. What counts as the poison varies by the plane: chemical intake and the water it arrives in; a diet that the body was not built for; sleeplessness; a stream of information engineered to keep a nervous system alarmed; a relationship that consumes; a commitment that should never have been made. The canon's own discipline names the same shape — fill, improve, and remove — and removal is the one people skip.
It is load-bearing because addition into an obstructed system does nothing. A person who adds a morning practice on top of an unremoved poison gets a well-practiced poisoning. Healing often begins here rather than with any new input; Vitality returns when the obstruction goes, not when something clever is applied. At the scale of a Community, the same logic produces the argument that the Air · Water · Soil · Microbiome are health infrastructure: no individual detoxification can outrun a poisoned watershed.
In play the move is ordinary and mostly unglamorous. A Fasting day. A night of real Sleeping. A week without the feed. A conversation that ends a draining arrangement. A Cell can run it on itself at a seasonal turning: what are we carrying that is costing us more than it returns, and what would it take to put it down? The Way Out is the dignified form of the same motion between people — leaving in order, with nothing erased and nothing hidden.
Two cautions. Detoxification is a practice, not an identity, and a life organized around purity becomes its own disorder. And the word is heavily colonized by commerce; a thing sold as a cleanse is usually an addition wearing the name of a subtraction.
