Recognizing Psychic Attack
A named discernment of the energetic layer: telling deliberate pressure against a being from one's own weather — and refusing both blindness and the reflex that finds an attacker behind every bad week.
The canonical shape of the discernment follows Associative And Dissociative Energy. What is directed against Right Relationship — aimed at separating a being from ØNE, from others, from themselves — carries a dissociative signature whatever it says about itself, and the trained being reads the signature rather than the surface. The response the canon places first is not counterattack but holding one's own field: Sovereignty In The Populated Field, clean boundary, consent consciously given and cleanly withdrawn.
The failure that matters most is the second one. A frame in which difficulty can always be attributed to an outside will is unfalsifiable, and unfalsifiable frames are how groups become paranoid, how members become unaccountable for their own conduct, and how someone comes to be named as the source of a Body's trouble. Exhaustion, grief, illness, conflict, and one's own unfinished work account for nearly everything. A discernment that never returns the answer this is mine is not a discernment.
Where the canon is firm: cause is sought in the set-up rather than in the person (Zero Blame Environment); force, where it is ever in question, is bound by minimum sufficient to restore Right Relationship and by Restraint As The Refusal To Act; and predatory presence is distinguished from the lost and wounded, which the canon names as its own discernment and which changes the response entirely.
Its standing: named in the cosmos section of the Pattern Language, unwritten, with nothing outside that layer depending on it. It is carried because the Warrior material reaches for it, and marked because its load is named rather than shown.
