The Song of Creation
The first turning: from perfect transcendent stillness, ØNE turned to know Itself, and the Song rose.
This is the second movement of The Sacred Arc, and the moment the Story has a second thing in it. Before it, stillness — not empty but full, infinite potential held in perfect coherence. Then a turning, and the stillness sings: as ØNE sang the Song of Creation, each word and note perfectly harmonised by Logos, the first waves rose from the cosmic sea, and from those waves the first beings came forth.
Two ideas are carried in the image rather than argued. The first is that creation is expression rather than manufacture — a song, not a mechanism; which is why Beauty is treated here as a property of reality rather than a matter of taste, and why harmony is a structural term. The second is that the turning is toward self-knowing: ØNE turned to know Itself, and the All is how that knowing happens. That single move is what makes each being One of the Ones of the ØNE rather than an artefact, and it is what makes participation in the Great Story intrinsic rather than optional.
It is load-bearing for the Story's arc. Without the First Turning there is no Many, and therefore no forgetting, no fall, no remembering, and no return — the twelve movements collapse into a single unchanging point. It is also where The Divine Symphony begins: if creation is a song, then a rightly related world is a harmony and a wrongly related one is a discord, and both are audible.
