The LIØNSBERG Corpus

Everything that has been written down — every story, pattern, card, lexicon entry, play, guidebook and working file by which this points at what it is pointing at. A living body, never finished.

The word is doing a specific job. The Codex is the structured, bound part; the Library is where things live and are drawn from; the Corpus is the totality, including the drafts, the working files, the notes that never became chapters, and every person's own chapter woven in as they walk (The Sacred Codex, The Living Library, Foundational Literature, All Scales Of Chapters).

What it is not is as important. It is not the reality it points at — the map is not the ground, and the story that can be told is not the Story (Essences, Renderings, And Ineffable Referents, Do Not Concretize the Absolute). And it is not doctrine: every entry is a current best articulation, held humbly, ready to be refined (Current Best Articulation, The Foundational Truth).

It grows by three moves that anyone walking may make. Fill what is lacking — what is missing, add. Improve what remains — what is half-said, refine. Remove what does not belong — what has drifted or gone false, prune (The Triadic Discipline, Prune, Weave, don't delete). The eye that sees the flaw is the eye that fixes it, which is why a defect found here is a gift rather than an accusation (Every Defect Is A Gift, Second reader).

There is a ladder under every line of it, and knowing the ladder is most of reading it well: the written articulation falls short of the understanding held by those who walked and learned; the understanding falls short of the reality. The labour of closing those two gaps is not preparation for the work — it is part of the work (Current Best Understanding, The Sacred Ascent, Progressive canonization).
