The Sacred War
Movement VII of the Sacred Arc: the awakening became a Sacred Force, and Love grew and organised as an immune system within ØNE Body.
The image is medical before it is martial. An immune system does not hate the pathogen; it recognises what does not belong in the Body and restores the Body's integrity. When the suffering grew too great and the cries of the enslaved reached the heights, the assembly discerned, in sorrow, that the dark empires had grown too forgetful to lay down their arms voluntarily. It was not loving to let the innocent suffer, and not good to stand by. So brilliant light and powerful Love grew as organised as the harm they came to end.
Two things hold this movement in place, and it fails without either. First, it is within ØNE Body — a war of restoration, never of annihilation, and never against a person as such. The adversary is the pattern: Kontrolle, the Inversion, The Three-Layered Adversary. Second, it is fought by beings who have already begun their own unveiling; an unhealed warrior reproduces the thing they oppose, which the corpus names plainly as the dark initiate's failure mode. Discerning Between Benevolent And Malevolent Intelligences and Composure Under Threat are not optional refinements here; they are the difference between the movement and its counterfeit.
The war is load-bearing because without it the Story becomes sentimental. Harm organised itself over millennia; good that refuses to organise at all simply concedes the field. But the corpus is equally firm about the form: the strategy is asymmetric and largely consists of withdrawal — attention, energy, and consent removed from what feeds on them — together with building the new alongside the old so that everyone has somewhere to go. Hospice the dying order rather than fight it. Demonstrate before advocating.
In the Game most players never touch the sharp end of this and are not asked to. What they touch is its everyday form: Guardianship of a commons, restraint under provocation, the refusal of a parasitic pattern at one's own table, and the protection of the most vulnerable person in the room. In the System it is Pillar X — Sacred Guardianship and Order, and its vow is that power is held as one holds a flame in cupped hands.
