Cosmology
The understanding of the origin, structure, and destiny of the Universe and our place within it.
Cosmology is the account a people gives of where everything came from, how it is arranged, and where it is going. The canon holds that every flourishing civilization has one — an overarching story unifying all domains of life within a coherent metaphysical, ethical, and cosmological frame — and that losing it is not a neutral event. Pillar I's diagnosis of the old world is exactly this loss, followed by existential confusion, systemic incoherence, and collapse.
In this Field the cosmology is told as The Sacred Arc: twelve movements from ØNE through the first turning, ØNE Body, The Veil of Finitude and Forgetting, The Fall, Awakening, The Sacred War, Liberation and Exodus, The Great ReMembering, Embodying the Way, Co-Creating Heaven, and The Eternal Divine Play. That is a cosmology in narrative form rather than in propositions — which the canon treats as the honest form, since Consciousness organises experience as story.
It is load-bearing because it answers where am I in this for a person who has just arrived. A player is told, at the door, that the Story is not finished, that they are in it, and that what they do next is a line of it. No amount of governance design does that work.
The canon holds it open rather than closed. Every cosmology — every physics, every sacred story, and this telling itself — is a Current Best Articulation of one Universe that exceeds them all. Cosmos Is Not Human-Centric is stated as a working correction, and the material on other intelligences is carried with explicit discernment rather than credulity.
