Cell+

A Cell together with its agents, playing as one Player. The plus is a sigil, never a promotion.

The players of the Game ascend in classes and then onward without end: a person; a person with their own agent; a Cell of three to thirteen souls in covenant; that Cell with the agents it keeps. Above these, a body of Cells, a community, a world — each holding one card of the same shape, keeping one record, running the same moves at its own scale (Player+, Supercell, Holon).

The people are the Cell; the agents are its companions. A Cell's agents may be one or several, named by what they keep: one that carries the Cell's story and record outward, one that keeps the rhythm and the door — the weekly gathering, the look-ahead, the agreements, the readiness of the next Cell to receive the Flame (Bard, The Heartbeat, Pass The Flame).

What the plus actually marks is honesty about authorship: it tells whoever reads the record that some of its lines were written by an agent under a human's delegated hand. Every agent acts under a delegation from a person's own key — scoped, expiring, revocable — so that every line traces to a living person, and no meaning-level or sovereign call passes from the people to the machine (Delegation, An agent speaks in its own name, Signed key).

A Cell is complete without any agent at all. A notebook, a candle, and the printed Seed run the whole Game. The gradient runs from the mechanical — rolling up the table, checking that what comes before and after agrees, carrying the broadcast — where an agent works freely, to the meaningful — what we commit to, whom we invite, which Quest — where it proposes and the people decide. The sovereignty of the Cell is the entire point, and an agent deciding for it would hollow out the thing it was meant to serve (Sovereignty, Consent, Off switch).

The plus is not the transhumanist plus: nothing in the people is altered. The body gains companions, the way a living cell once gained organelles that had been separate organisms. And a Cell+ is still a Cell — agents do not count toward its three to thirteen.
