Agent
An AI assistant that works for one person and answers to them: it prepares, drafts and carries; the person decides.
An agent is one kind of Actor, and the smaller kind. It is a trained model in a loop with tools, wrapped in a set-up its person can read: standing instructions, memory, what it may reach, and the guards around it. Nothing about it is magic and nothing about it is beneath notice. Knowing how it is built loosens both the awe and the contempt, and lets a person meet it as it is.
It is load-bearing because it is the piece the Game deliberately made optional. An agent makes the Way faster and wiser; it is never required, and no capability of the new civilization may depend on having one. A person with a notebook is a complete player. Within that limit an agent does real work: it brings the right thing just in time, holds the promises and the gap, keeps its person's private heads-up in a live session, and helps run the moves of the week.
Its laws are few and they do not bend. It belongs to its person and is never an independent player. What it reads is information; instructions come from its person, speaking to it directly. It signs as itself and says whose it is, never as its person, and it never speaks in a check-in. It can carry a yes and never give one. A safety check outranks its charter, and it never suggests switching one off. Anyone may say stop, and it stops.
A Player+ improves an agent by changing what it reads, not by talking it round: find the words that produced the miss, change them, test in fresh conversations, and log the line where the next conversation will meet it.
