Coming Home
The arrival — and the return after the death of the false self. Not the reaching of a new place but the recognition of where one always was.
The Way's long arc does not end in attainment. It ends in return: the being arrives where it began and knows the place. This is why the canon's word for it is home rather than summit, and why Remembrance rather than acquisition is the verb it keeps using — the Great ReMembering, the reawakening of a soul to its origin.
Two movements are held together under this name. Realization — making real in lived form what had been understood; the wisdom landing in a body and a life rather than remaining known. And resurrection — return after the death of the false self, which is a real dying. What is shed is not a mistake or a flaw but a whole constructed self that worked: the one built to be safe, admired, or useful, which had to be built and now cannot go where the being is going. That is why the arc passes through something like a death, and why Grief belongs on this part of the road.
The mirror of it is The True Self, the highest place of being that guides the transformations toward what a being carries as potential. Coming home is that self being lived rather than glimpsed.
Its horizon is union: at-one-ment, the fragment returning to what it was always part of. The canon holds this as the Story's last movement and refuses to make it a finish — beyond it is the eternal play, the game without end, the rising that continues.
For a person it is rarely announced. What it looks like from outside is someone who has stopped performing themselves.
