Keeper

Whoever holds the record between gatherings.

Between one Turn and the next, the cards have to live somewhere. The keeper is where: the Cell's Circle Sheet, its Questcards, the weekly Scorecard, the copies of the sheets its own Cells have sent in if it is a home to any (Home Cell). The keeper does not own the record and does not decide what goes in it; the body says what happened and the keeper makes sure that saying is still there next week (The Record).

The role is load-bearing because the whole Game runs on a written word given and a written word kept. Kept as a share of made is the first number any body should know about itself, and it is only knowable if someone kept the paper (Kept as a share of made). A decision that was not written is re-litigated by accident; a commitment that was not written was never quite made (Decision Records, Commitment).

The floor is paper. A hand copy on any paper counts exactly as much as a printed one, and if paper and screen disagree, the page with two signatures is the record (Screens and paper, Notebook form). A keeper who can be reached, and a second copy held by the Cell's home, are together the only redundancy the system asks for.
