The rhythm of a walker: the five moves by which a Sovereign becomes present to where they have just landed, and keeps becoming present, at every scale and in every season.
Observe. Sense the world as it actually is — the old order collapsing, the new rising, others already at work, and yourself, here, now, awake. Orient. Find the map, discover what is at stake, and recognize that you are inside the Story and written into it. Decide. Choose to play. The choice is not made once; it is made and remade at every threshold. Act. Take the first move — gather your Cell, choose your Quest, begin. Learn. Every cycle teaches, and the one who walks long enough becomes a guide to the next at the threshold they have already crossed.
The four-beat military ancestor of this rhythm ends at act. The fifth beat is the change that matters: the loop is for becoming, not only for winning. Learning is also what turns a walker into a guide, which is why the final beat points outward at someone else's beginning.
It is the inner-facing twin of Tightly Coupled Learning and Action. That Element runs the loop over work — plans, promises, defects, deliveries. This one runs it over a life: what am I seeing, where am I, what will I choose, what will I do, and what did it teach me. The same rhythm, one facing the Quest and one facing the Sovereign.
It holds at every scale and every season, which is why it can be handed to someone at the door as the first thing they do and still be what an elder is doing forty years later. Nothing about it requires a Body, which is also why it fits the one who walks alone for now.
