Sachchidananda

Existence-Consciousness-Bliss — one of three word-tools the canon names for ØNE, honed by a tradition that approached from its own angle.

The Pattern Language's discipline of Word Tools states the case this concept exists to make. Every name in the Language is a word-tool; the map is not the territory; many traditions have honed different word-tools to point at the same Reality from different angles. That is the load. A system claiming a universal Source must either absorb every tradition into its own vocabulary or demonstrate that it can hold other tongues as equals. Sachchidananda is where the canon demonstrates it: a Sanskrit term carried in its own form, not translated into house language, not subordinated. The same posture is stated at the highest level — ØNE is not owned by any religion, not captured by any ideology, not mediated by any priesthood, not contained by any name; known by every true name, present in every genuine tradition.

The rule that follows is operational: when two names point at the same wisdom, one is chosen as the working name and the others are honoured as aliases; when two similar names point at distinct wisdoms, both are kept and linked. The names are scaffolding, and they fall away when the Reality is met directly.

The three terms are not equivalent in what they emphasise, and the canon does not pretend otherwise. Existence-consciousness-bliss names ØNE as what is; Logos names ØNE as ordering speech; Creator's Intent names ØNE as direction. Held together they triangulate better than any one of them alone.
