The Eternally Nameless

The proposed name for the unnameable ground — Layer Ø, the Source that every rendering here bows toward and none contains.

In the layered picture the corpus is working toward, Layer Ø is the Source: absolute, ineffable, transcendent. Beneath it Layer II is the manifest cosmic All, the order that already inter-is; beneath that, Layer III is a volitional prototype — a body that has consciously chosen to organise itself in alignment with the layers above. ØNE is the symbol raised toward Layer Ø. The Eternally Nameless is the phrase raised toward the same thing when even the symbol seems too solid.

The name is deliberately self-cancelling, in the old manner of naming what cannot be named: it says only that the thing is beyond naming, and so cannot be mistaken for a description. That is exactly its use. Where Do Not Concretize the Absolute states the discipline, this phrase carries it in a single term — a word that cannot quietly become a doctrine because it asserts nothing.

It is load-bearing for the architecture rather than for the daily Game. Distinguishing the Source from the cosmic body and from any prototype is what stops three different things being called by one name: the Absolute, the universe, and this particular articulation of a pattern. Collapse those and either the corpus starts speaking as though it were God, or God becomes indistinguishable from the world.

This layer framing is explicitly provisional. It is held as work in progress, pending the stabilisation of a fuller nine-layer articulation elsewhere; the proposed home page has not been written, and nothing here should be read as settled.
