The Program Delivery Guide
The delivery methodology volume: how a programme too large for any one body to hold is actually built.
It is the place where the production disciplines are written at full length rather than in summary — the guide that instructs the teams, the workers and the trade partners in how a programme is to be delivered, and the volume the Pattern of Production was distilled from. As the canon states it, some twenty million dollars of funded research stands behind it, demonstrated across billion-dollar construction programmes: when all participants align around shared risk, shared reward and shared information, the total outcome improves radically.
It is load-bearing as evidence rather than as doctrine. The claim that Integrated Delivery is not an aspiration but an observed way that large complex work succeeds rests on this volume; strip it out and the Pattern of Production becomes a preference. It also supplies the translation: the same methods that keep a programme of thousands honest — pull the plan, clear the constraints, promise the week, measure what was kept — are the ones a Cell of five runs in a notebook, because they were never about size.
It is read in pieces, as needed, and not in one sitting. Its instruction is addressed to people on a worksite, and its worked material is construction; a reader elsewhere translates rather than copies. Where it and the Operating System differ in wording, the shorter book is the one a group can start running this week, and the Guide is where the depth is when a question outgrows it.
