Your Story Woven Into Meta Story
How a reader stops being a reader: your own telling, and your people's, woven into the shared one — which is the only way the shared one grows.
The Story is offered as a framework and declared incomplete on purpose. It is missing something only you can add. Every individual and every tribe carries living memories of itself, of ØNE, and of the All — handed down at hearths and altars, in songs and ceremonies, across every people on Earth. Those are not decorations on the telling; they are the telling's actual material. The Story grows larger and truer not by decree but by weaving and playing as one.
The move is load-bearing because it is what makes a shared story survivable. A single authored narrative that admits no other threads becomes a doctrine, and doctrine is how a liberating story turns into a new cave. A story that requires other people's memories in order to be complete cannot harden that way; it is structurally dependent on the sovereignty of everyone who carries a thread. This is the same logic as The Pattern Governs, Not People applied to narrative, and it is why Weaving vs. Starting New is the counsel given to anyone holding a tradition of their own: bring it in, do not leave it behind and do not start a hundredth parallel telling.
It also names the mechanism. Each person's walking becomes a chapter written by them at their scale; Share the Stories is how chapters compose; Pass The Flame is the handing forward of one's chapter to the next walker. The weekly Turn's one story and the season's hundred-and-fifty-word account are the smallest working units of this weaving, and The Season Sheet is how a telling leaves a table and reaches the whole.
In the Game the practical instruction is short. Tell what happened, honestly, so that someone else can use it. Keep the provenance with it. Name only those who chose to be named. Then send it up.
