Creator's Intent

The highest intention and greatest good for All beings without exception — the aim that is received, not authored.

Creator's Intent is a limit statement: a short phrase placed deliberately at the edge of what can be said, so that the highest aim can be named without being shrunk. Propositionally it can be understood as absolute and unconditional Love. For anyone agnostic about the Source and Sustainer of life, it can be held as the highest intention and greatest good one can conceive of and relate to — the logic and intention of the entire living system.

It matters because it settles the question of ownership. The Goal is not a committee's mission statement, not a founder's ambition, and not a majority's preference; it is a reading of what was already intended, which every player is free to test, question, and refine. A goal we authored could be amended by whoever holds power. A goal we received cannot, and that is the structural reason no one in this body can be in charge of the aim — only in service of it.

It is the top rung of Intention, the first and only rung of The Creative Cascade that does not change as a work descends into form. Everything below is Current Best Understanding. And because the referent is The Ineffable, our statement of the Intent is itself a fingerpost: held firmly enough to steer by, openly enough to be corrected from above.

In play, it is invoked when a decision is genuinely hard and the nearer tests have run out — when a Proposal is lawful, affordable, and still feels wrong. The question becomes not what do we want but what was intended here, for everyone this touches, including those not yet born.
