The Three Converging Cycles
Three patterns of very different length — an imperial one, a civilisational one, and one running since agriculture — claimed to be reaching their turning points inside the same narrow window. Which is why this has no template.
The shortest is the cycle of a dominant power: fiscal overextension, military overreach, wealth concentrating upward, institutions decaying, cohesion thinning, and a rising challenger. The corpus places it at roughly two and a half centuries and reads the present order as in its terminal phase (Decline, The Existing Order, Centralization Of Power).
The middle one is the architecture beneath that order — an arrangement built over about five centuries on extraction, the territorial state, industrial production and a picture of reality with nothing in it but measurable matter. The claim is not that it is old but that it has reached its own limits: the frontiers are consumed, the substrate is poisoned, the state form cannot address planetary problems, and the worldview has produced a civilisation unable to generate reasons to continue (Meaning, The Old Operating System, Consciousness Is Primary).
The longest is the template since agriculture: life organised around accumulated surplus, hierarchy, territory, and a progressive disconnection of consciousness from its ground — a small group holding what a large group produces, maintained across generations by story and by force (Kontrolle, The Long Night, Extraction Of Wealth).
The argument is about convergence, not about any one of them. Each alone would be an upheaval of historic size; the shortest reshapes a world for generations, the longest has turned once in ten thousand years. All three at once produces something for which there is no case study — which is why the reply empires have always fallen and we continued is answered not by disputing the history but by naming the scale, the interconnection, the weapons, and the convergence (The Bronze Age Parallel, The Meta Crisis, The Collapse-Ascension Nexus, The Window).
The cycle lengths are estimates, not measurements — the source's readings of historical pattern, stated from 2026, with the diagnostic criteria given but no derivation. Cyclical readings of history are contested as a method, and nothing here settles that (We Do Not Know, Navigating Towards Truth, Cycle).
What does not depend on the arithmetic is the structural point: several things of very different sizes are failing at once, and each makes the others harder.
