Consciousness Is Primary

The commitment the rest of this rests on: consciousness is not something matter produces, but the ground from which matter, energy and form appear.

It is worth stating in the open, because almost everything else here inherits from it. If consciousness is primary, then a being has dignity by what it is rather than by how complex it got (Dignity, Divine Spark). Then a pattern can be received and not only assembled out of data (Receiving Transmission, Revelation). Then knowing at a distance is not absurd (Non-Local First, Local Follows, Sensing The Field). Then intelligence in other forms is unremarkable, since only the form would differ (Star Nations, Artificial Intelligence). Then the Goal is recognisable — felt and known, not merely calculated (Empirical Resonance, The compass question). Then death is a passage rather than a termination (Dying, The Return). And then the deep traditions have been working with something real all along (ReHarvesting the Great Traditions).

The rival claim — consciousness as a by-product of matter — is not refuted here, and cannot be from either side; both are metaphysical positions that the available evidence underdetermines. What this corpus does is name the cost it sees in the rival: run far enough, it reduces beings to assets, minds to brains, meaning to chemistry and life to mechanism, and the old world's treatment of people follows from that reduction more than from any policy (The Old Operating System, Extraction Of Wealth).

So this is a commitment, held openly as one, and the honest way to hold it is the way this corpus holds everything: current best understanding, loosely, testable by what it produces rather than by what it proves (Everything Is Current Best Understanding, We Do Not Know, The Five Verification Filters and the Spectrum of Knowing).
