Revelation

Truth unveiled rather than derived — through direct experience, sacred texts, prophetic insight, or spiritual communion.

Revelation names a way truth arrives that is not inference. The canon holds it alongside reasoning rather than above or below it: Types Of Knowing insists knowing has kinds and propositional knowing is one, and Gnosis names direct, non-propositional apprehension. Revelation is the receiving end of that — what is unveiled to a consciousness rather than constructed by it.

It is load-bearing because the Pillar's sixth thesis makes direct communion the basis of true Theology: not belief, doctrine, or dogma, but encounter. Remove revelation and the sacred becomes a body of claims to assent to — which is precisely the entombment the Pillar's narrative names as the old world's failure. The Divine Whisper in the Story is revelation at its quietest: ØNE never truly absent, waking sleepers one by one.

And it carries a hard discipline, because unverified reception is exactly how a movement is captured. The Pattern Language names testing transmission against the Logos as the paired practice: what arrives is weighed, not obeyed because it arrived. Discernment is required; The False Prophet — liberation rhetoric in service of new domination — is named among the Anti-Patterns; Lineage is honoured without capture. The canon's own posture toward its material is the model: unreviewed, loosely held, improved each week, and never called final.

In play, the everyday form is smaller and more usable: the Sighting — what a player saw that the whole should know — carried to the table, said plainly, weighed together rather than either dismissed or obeyed.
