Polycentric Implementation of Shared Solutions

Solve it once, anywhere; make it available everywhere; let each place implement it sovereignly, in its own way.

Most problems a community faces have already been solved by some other community, and most of those solutions are lost between them. The remedy has two halves that must both hold. The solution is shared — documented, pushed up, curated, pulled down, localised, and fed back with what was learned. And the implementation is polycentric — many centres, each deciding for itself whether and how to use it, because a solution issued from a centre with authority behind it is no longer a solution but an instruction.

It is load-bearing because it is how a movement gets the benefits of scale without acquiring a headquarters. It answers the isolation that makes every group reinvent the wheel, and it answers the capture that makes every central programme eventually serve itself. What travels is the general solution; what stays local is the decision, the adaptation and the consequence. That is the same shape as Subsidiarity read from the supply side.

In practice it needs three plain things: a place where issues and solutions meet, a discipline of writing down what was built well enough to be used by strangers, and the honesty to report what happened when a borrowed solution was tried and failed.
