The facilitator and guild cascade
How a practice reaches every table without a school: train a first cohort of facilitators, and make teaching the next one part of having learned.
Envisioning, designing, and building a better future in every domain takes facilitation — someone in the room who can hold a process while the people in it do the thinking. Facilitation does not scale by hiring. It scales the way crafts have always scaled: one teaches one, each trained person carries the obligation to train the next, and the practice spreads outward through existing relationships rather than downward through an institution (Apprenticeship, Learning By Doing, Cohort-Learning).
Two shapes carry it. The cascade: an initial cohort — the Strategy's figure is fifteen thousand facilitators, a design estimate and not a measurement — trained as the seed of a train-the-trainer, each-one-teach-one spread through The First Three Percent and, through them, toward every table. The guilds: bodies formed around the twelve or so core functions every Cell, community, and region needs, each training on the order of twelve to fifteen thousand practitioners out of that same three percent, and each cultivating and cross-pollinating its craft's knowledge around the world (Guild). The cascade spreads the way of working; the guilds hold the depth of a craft and keep it improving in one place rather than being reinvented in ten thousand.
What makes this more than a training plan is what it refuses. A body that cannot form its own facilitators must import them, and a body that imports its facilitators has quietly imported a centre. The measure of the cascade is therefore not how many were trained but how many of those trained have trained others — the same test the Cells are held to (Self-Sustenance and Self-Replication, Pass The Flame).

Open: Both counts — fifteen thousand facilitators, twelve to fifteen thousand practitioners per guild — are design estimates with no derivation shown, and neither is a measurement. · The "twelve or so core functions" are not enumerated in the chapter, so which guilds exist is open. · This field's Guild row carries the craft body; it does not carry the training cascade or its sizing, so the two should be read together. · Nothing states who trains the first cohort.
