Meta Solution

The answer at the scale of the whole problem — comprehensive, systemic and collaborative, because the many separate crises are symptoms of shared root causes.

The Meta Solution is what stands opposite The Meta Crisis, and it is defined by a single recognition: the individual and local crises are not independent. Poverty, ecological damage, corruption, distrust, meaningless work and the rest keep reappearing because they share root causes and systemic drivers. Three words carry the definition. Comprehensive — reaching all the way to the drivers rather than the symptoms. Systemic — treating the arrangement rather than the parts (System · Design · Integrated Delivery). Collaborative — because no single actor, however large, contains the problem (Federation · Sovereign, Autonomous, And Coordinated Groups · Higher Order Functional Unity).

What makes it a meta solution rather than a very large project is the same thing that makes General Needs general: most of what any individual, group or community faces are shared problems, so a solution found once anywhere can serve everywhere rather than being rebuilt each time. The honest risk is the obvious one, and it is why the word is dangerous as well as useful. A comprehensive systemic solution to everything is exactly what every grand scheme has claimed, and the history of such claims is not encouraging.
