Prophecy
The transmission of divine vision and direction from Spirit through an aligned vessel.
Prophecy in this Field is the directional form of Revelation: not prediction, but sight given for the sake of a people, carried by someone whose alignment makes them able to carry it. The Lexicon's word is vessel — the emphasis falls on the conduit's clarity rather than on the person's status.
Its guards matter more than its definition, because prophecy is the single most capturable thing in a movement. The Pattern Language names testing transmission against the Logos as the required practice: what is received is weighed, never obeyed because it arrived. The False Prophet is named among the Anti-Patterns — liberation rhetoric in service of new domination. Conduit names the vessel's own discipline, and Distortion the failure. And the structure does its own share: Accountability holds that all authority is revocable and no role carries immunity, Transparency that reasoning is visible, Consent that nothing binds without a freely given yes. A prophet inside this architecture is answerable like anyone else.
The canon also gives prophecy a modest, everyday form that costs nothing to run: every story becomes a prophecy of greater things to come. A Story honestly told about what a Cell actually did carries more forward-sight than most utterance — Forward-Looking Story names why a shared story of where we are going matters, and Testimony is the form a story takes when it carries proof.
The canon's honest note: the Voice section names prophesying among several beautiful names with no body and no invoking Play. If nothing calls them, they should go.
