Transmission
The intentional movement of energy, truth, or spirit across domains.
Transmission names the passing of something live from one place to another — teacher to student, ancestor to descendant, beyond to within. It is the general form of a movement the canon uses everywhere: Revelation is transmission from Source; Lineage is transmission across generations; Scripture is transmission encoded for the future; Storytelling is transmission at the scale of a table; Pass The Flame is transmission of the whole Game, hand to hand.
Its discipline is what makes it safe. The Pattern Language names Receiving Transmission and, immediately beside it, testing transmission against the Logos — what arrives is weighed, never obeyed because it arrived. Lineage without capture is the paired guard: honour where something came from without handing it authority over you. Conduit names the vessel's own integrity; Distortion names what happens when the vessel is bent.
It is load-bearing because this movement spreads by transmission and nothing else. Not broadcast — attraction, not promotion; the Seed arrives through someone who trusts you; broadcasts gather watchers, hands gather workers. Carrier names the one who brought you the Flame, and it never changes. propagation rather than scale is the strategy (Fibonacci Spread), and its arithmetic assumes each transmission is whole: give them the whole of it, tell them the Story, sit with them for their first week if they ask.
In play it is the simplest instruction in the Game and the one most often skipped: within a week, carry it to the two or three you know are ready.
