The Noah Plan

Building the vessel before the flood: a network of Arks, each a place where life, knowledge, and a way of living are kept whole through the crossing.

An Ark is a sanctuary that is also a seedbank. Where The Joseph Plan stores what a people will need to eat, the Noah Plan keeps what a people would be unable to rebuild: seed and genetics, tools and skills, the texts and the practices, and the households that carry them (The Hub, Guardianship). The two are one strategy in two motions — provision and preservation — and neither is sufficient alone.

Its discipline is that an Ark is built early and lived in immediately. A vessel completed in the emergency is completed too late, and a sanctuary nobody has practised inhabiting is a warehouse. So the Ark is a working place from the first day: land tended, power and water independent enough to matter, skills exercised, a Cell keeping its Turn inside it (Rest And Regeneration, Self-Sustenance and Self-Replication).

It is also the answer to a temptation. The old world's version of an ark is a refuge for the few, and building one of those is simply joining the pattern being escaped. An Ark in this sense is a node of a network, open by consent, contributing outward, judged by what it preserves for everyone rather than by who it excludes (Commons, None Of Us Until All Of Us, Guard the Membrane).
