Islands, Hubs, Grid

The topology the bodies form: coherent places, provisioned nodes, and the network that links them across a planet.

Three words for three stages of the same thing. Islands are where coherence appears first — a Cell, a street, a village that works while the surroundings fray (Islands of Coherence, Cell). Hubs are islands that have been provisioned and made able to serve beyond themselves: storage, healing, repair, tools, training, a place people can come to (The Hub, The Joseph Plan, The Noah Plan). The Grid is what they become once linked — a planetary network with no centre, in which any node can be lost without the whole going dark (Islands of coherence to network, The Planet, Anti-Fragility).

Naming the sequence keeps the work in order. A hub built where there is no island is a building with nobody in it; a grid declared before there are hubs is a diagram. Coherence, then capacity, then connection — and each stage is already useful on its own, which is what makes the path walkable from wherever a body actually is (Circle Coherence, Federation).

The topology is the same shape as everything else here: complete wholes, federated by consent, each sovereign in its own place, carrying the same pattern at its own scale (Holofractal Omnifederation, Sovereignty At Every Scale, Levels Of Scale). It is the physical face of what the cards do on paper — and the reason the crossing has somewhere to happen (The Wilderness, The Movement).
