The Hub

A physical node of the new body — actual land, actual buildings, actual people — federated with the others at every scale.

Without places, the Pattern stays in conversation. A Hub is where it stands in the land: somewhere a person can walk to, see, and join. Existing fabric is repurposed wherever possible — libraries, schools, community centres, monasteries, empty commercial space — and what is built new is built by sacred architecture, in harmony with its place (Design, Human-Scaling).

The network nests like everything else: micro hubs embedded in neighbourhoods, community hubs at the ten-thousand scale where The 300 operate, local and city hubs, ecoregional and bioregional hubs, georegional hubs, and one planetary core. Each carries the same DNA — the Twelve Irreducible Elements operate at every level — adapted to its scale and place, so that a bioregional hub is structurally the same animal as a community hub, only larger (Levels Of Scale, Holofractal Scaling).

Each is sovereign within its scale and federated outward by mutual consent, never subordinated (Sovereignty At Every Scale, Federation). Two named strategies build them: storing against the lean years and standing up local capacity (The Joseph Plan), and building the vessel that carries what must survive the storms (The Noah Plan). Together with the coherent places already forming, they make the topology the crossing runs on (Islands, Hubs, Grid, The Wilderness).
