Convergence

Federate: the stage at which Circles become Communities, Communities become Bioregions, and many quests become one great work.

Ninth of the twelve stages, and the point at which the walk stops being personal. Cells federate into Communities; Communities into Bioregions; Bioregions into the planetary body. The twelve Pillars become operational rather than aspirational. The First Three Percent reach critical mass. The new civilisation is visibly emerging — already governing, already feeding, already educating, already healing — alongside the collapsing old.

Its verb is federate, and the corpus is careful about what that does and does not mean. Holofractal Omnifederation is complete wholes federated from the bottom up, each member holding an equal voice in the whole; Federations vs Empires is the line that keeps the motion from reversing. Convergence is not consolidation. Nothing is absorbed, no centre is created, and each body keeps the membrane, the Field of Agreements, the Domain, and the Commons it was born with.

It is load-bearing because it is where quests stack. A season's work in one place is good and small; the same work aligned with thousands of others is Throughput of the Goal. The instruments that make that possible are unglamorous and already named — The Season Sheet leaving each table, The Way Up carrying voice and proposals, Requests and offers crossing membranes, and the Minimum standards of interoperability that let sheets from ten thousand tables mean the same thing.

The stage is folded in the field with Covenant and Jubilee and Eternal Play as the final three, and it is marked as ore: named, not articulated. What is written of it lives inside the stages page, and the reading here draws on the federation patterns that are better developed than the stage itself.
