Honesty about time
Past the marker, say you are behind — and replan to the milestone before you move it.
The discipline has a shape. Plan to finish one season ahead of each marker. Run Critical Path to the plan date with zero Float. Treat the season between plan date and marker as contingency and show it on the wall as it is spent. Up to the plan date the plan is on schedule; past it, contingency is being spent knowingly and out loud; past the marker, The Record says behind, and says why.
It is load-bearing because a missed marker has already done its work: it made reality visible. What destroys a plan is not lateness but the quiet re-baselining that hides it — six days lost, six days added to the end, and the arithmetic of the whole silently corrupted. The alternative is to re-pull: shrink a handoff, add hands, remove a constraint, recover within the next one or two milestones, and if the end must move, move it openly, by Proposal, with its why. A body that does this can be trusted with a date by bodies it has never met, which is the whole basis of committing Cell to Cell.
Two habits carry it. Times are read from a clock, never computed, and an estimate is said in words rather than dressed as a number. And the solstices and equinoxes the seasons turn on are markers of rhythm, not milestones of work: confusing the two makes a body feel late for the sun.
